It is an honor to announce that Grace Lampman, Alter’s first Singles player, garnered the John Harlow Sportsmanship Award from the Ohio Tennis Coaches Award in February. Lampman is the first Alter player as well as the first player from the GCL to receive this Award. The John Harlow Award is given annually to ONLY one girl and one boy tennis player in OH, so it is the most prestigious award given. Charlie Painter Quote on Grace: “ Grace was one of the best competitors that I have ever coached. She is the most single-minded player in her focus before and during her matches. Grace is a wonderful young woman, and it has been my pleasure to coach her these last four years. It has been an honor to watch her grow and mature into the person that she is today. I will certainly miss her, but I wish her the best as she continues her tennis at the colligate level. She was truly a great tennis player at Alter, but also a great leader as well.”
