Movie notes: "Diaries from Poll" and Oatmeal
"Diaries from Poll"
Oda's father in the film is the Sleeping King, in which all archaic, monstrous reflections, such as sexual chauvinism, the passion of a murderous collector and a kata eugenicist, are dormant. His laboratory is Bluebeard's room, which is locked with seven locks. Only when you enter this room do you realize his real face, the face of a despot, which is hidden behind the mask of a scientist and a conformist.
Such films are not a director's whim, but a meticulous and accurate cartography of the German soul, cartography that does not bypass all of it, even the darkest corners. It was painful and intoxicating to contemplate such moments on the screen. However, it is this path that leads to spiritual enlightenment. If the mission of theater according to Aristotle is catharsis - spiritual purification, then the mission of the "Poll Diaries" and wider German film drama, as in the time of Fritz Lang, remains anabasis - the mystical ascent of Orpheus into Hell, the ascent into the darkest depths of human consciousness.
The film, like the previous two, was greeted with applause. However, these ovations were different. The faces of the people leaving the hall were also different. Has the director achieved his goal? Undoubtedly. I went down to hell with Orpheus. Am I going to watch it a second time? Unlikely. This "going through the motions" is more than enough for me. I'm going to read the Brothers Grimm tonight.

"Camera work". Mikhail Krichman seemed to have made a video sequence from individual video cards, the "passive camera" technique was particularly successful, which allows you to recreate the atmosphere of a self-made road movie when the camera is simply installed in the back seat of a car and it practically does not move. In the general plans, tree branches or grass are almost always in the frame, swaying in the wind, declaring the banal truth that in the post-Soviet province it is "as deaf as in a tank" and in such conditions, even at first glance, the imperceptible movements of plants come to the fore. Since the surroundings do not give out any sound, the soundtrack to the movements of the heroes is the sound of the chief's diesel engine "Helika" and the chirping of bunting birds in the middle of the cage.
"Messages". Almost all of the director's metaphorical moves are naive and obvious even to fifth graders, but nevertheless the underlying theses do not fit in with the visual series, which generally lives its own life, trying to reach the heights of both naivety and senility at the same time. What is the cost of transporting a typewriter on a sledge and then drowning it in an ice hole, or even cooler is the scene of decorating the bride's pubic hair with colorful ribbons, or burning Tanya's corpse on the handles of spades. => Ontario Society Health & Fitness: Access OSHF Health & Fitness Portal View Grounding Mats / Sheets / Red Light Therapy Devices / Alt Health Therapy
