Bob “the Wiz” Ellis was a coach, father, friend, and pillar of the community. In everything the Wiz did he emphasized hard work and dedication to achieve success not only on the athletic field but also in the classroom. Wiz, an admirer of the late Coach John Wooden, lived by his quote:
Success comes from knowing that you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming.
It is in this spirit that the Wiz Scholarship Fund will reward a valuable candidate who best fulfills the criteria of this scholarship.
Award: $1,000
Criteria: Strong academic record, participation in an Alter sport as player or manager, history of hard work on the athletic field, community service.
