Our seniors are keeping the Guidance office extra busy, as an astounding 90% of the senior class have turned in their “yellow folders” to date. Please be aware that we have one final deadline prior to Christmas break. Students need to ensure that all the application information, for which they are responsible, is submitted before individual school deadlines. Way to get a jump start on college applications, seniors!
*Reminder* Any application that needs to be mailed before Christmas break must be received in the Guidance office by Tuesday, November 15. The Guidance office and school will be closed from December 21 to January 4. All known scholarship opportunities are readily available to view on Naviance. A list of those scholarships can be found in the “Scholarships & Money” section under “Colleges.” As we approach the New Year, scholarships will continue to be added to Naviance.
If you have questions regarding this often-stressful process, please speak to one of the counselors, Ms. Sutter, or Mrs. Balent in the Taylor Center.
If any student is experiencing academic challenges in the classroom, contacting the teacher directly for help is the best way to find a resolution. Parents and students are always welcome to speak with the counselors about any concerns by calling or emailing the Guidance office.
