In recognition of the impact the Hope Squad has on the mental health of Alter’s student body and the work they do throughout the year toward the mission of Hope Squad, the John’88 and Kim Graf. ’88 Schimpf created this scholarship to recognize outstanding effort during a graduating senior’s career that supported Hope Squad exhibiting the following characteristics:

• Is inclusive amongst his/her peers on a consistent basis
• Makes an effort to check-in on his/her peers regularly
• Makes a difference in the lives of others
• Strives for excellence in all activities

Award: $1,000

Criteria: Current Hope Squad Leader

Essay:In 250-500 words share how you regularly make a difference in the lives of others. Include things about yourself to describe your character, your interests, and how being a member of the Hope Squad has impacted you. You are welcome to include any additional notes about yourself and your drive for excellence and hope for a positive, inclusive social environment. Please also describe how you plan to impact others as you move forward in your life’s journey.
