In December 2001 God decided that he wanted twin boys, Drew and Cole Deddens. Parents, Mark and Tammy, struggled with God’s purpose, but realized with the help of their own parents who were outstanding role models of servant leadership and unselfish hearts with deep Catholic roots and passion in the faith, that their boys had a higher purpose in heaven. Their purpose also included protecting and saving the lives of their mortal children, converting friends to the Catholic faith, and instilling the human spirit of kindness into many. Applicants who demonstrate a genuine and consistent commitment to the human spirit of giving, kindness, and a true respect for humanity should apply. Those with a passion to serve, and clear aspirations of who you want to be, and why you want to be that person, are right for these scholarships. Demonstrating unconditional love, humility, and compassion are necessary attributes to apply.
