Are you interested in Education and want someone to pay you to go to college for free? Need a job that pays $15 per hour? Do you like kids? Do you want a summer internship?

If you said “Yes” to any of these questions, please keep reading about the Preschool Promise Pathways Program

–This locally-funded program will pay for the CDA (Child Development Associate Credential) training for high school students.

–Summer internships are available during June/July, which pay $15 per hour to work in a childcare center.

–Find a center to work in through Preschool Promise while in high school (such as Wenzler Preschool and Learning Center down the street!)

–Upon graduation, you can become a Pathway Scholar where Preschool Promise will provide training and work opportunities during the summer, find a center to work in, and provide a scholarship of up to $15,000 per year toward your education.

Requirements for the program—Become a Pathway Intern working part-time between 5 and 20 hours per week at a Preschool Promise site, interested in pursuing a degree in education or training in a related field (Early Childhood, Teacher Education, Intervention Specialist, Education Administration, Non-profit administration, Curriculum Development, etc.)

Optional additional opportunities—You can also participate in a Club for students interested in Early Childhood Education to network, talk to local professors, and go on field trips to various childcare centers in the area.
