Pete “Bud” Jablonski had a 47-year career at Alter High School, dedicating his life to education and community service. He gave so much as a teacher, administrator, and educational leader. He loved the school community like it was his family and dedicated himself to promoting the school. Pete did many things behind the scenes for volunteers, the faculty, and staff, and most importantly the students. He was amazingly dependable, thoughtful, and possessed a strong work ethic.

The Pete Jablonski Scholarship will be awarded to a current or incoming student who demonstrated the same values of Pete:

  • Service to their school and community
  • Strong work ethic.

Pete’s family established this scholarship to honor their “Uncle Bud” and perpetuate his legacy within the Alter Community.

Essay: In 200-350 words, describe the importance of a Catholic education and service to your community. List examples of your community service and how you have demonstrated a strong work ethic.
