The Michael J. Grant Scholarship is for a student that has lost a parent (or parents) and continues to desire and value a Catholic education at Alter High School. Funding has been provided by John T. Grant in honor of his son Michael, who graduated from Alter in 2001.

- FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment
- Incoming freshmen or current Alter student who have experienced a parental death.
Essay Prompt:
In 200-350 words describe how you exhibit the qualities of service, leadership, dedication, and integrity currently and how you will bring these into Alter school community. How your non-athletic extracurricular activities or service has enabled you to grow as an individual. Additionally, describe the sacrifices that have been made and the importance to you and your family of receiving a Catholic education at Alter High School.
