Hello, Alter Knights community! My name is Heather Dunn and I am the Director of Campus Ministry. I hail from Georgia where I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia. Upon graduation, I volunteered in Colorado, then took a leap of faith to pursue my master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry at the University of Dayton. I have spent the last 15 years as the youth minister at St. Charles Borromeo. I am blessed to be married to Danny Dunn and we have three boys: Caleb (12), Micah (9), and Jacob (6).

As I began my job at Alter in July, I worked to continue much of the holy work that has been done before me. Since the school year began, I have had several “firsts”: Freshman First Day, Kairos, and we sent the first group of juniors on their retreat. I have observed and witnessed the faith of the young people, faculty, and staff, and I am inspired every day. I have been warmly welcomed, and I thank you for that.

Each day, I pray for this community and for all your needs. At school, we have a prayer box and a book of intentions and anyone is welcome to submit a prayer request through the website.
