Major General James Kelley Service Scholarship
The Major General James Kelley (US Army Ret), Distinguished Alumnus – Class of 1970 and wife Song Li, created this scholarship for graduates who are committed to making a difference in the world. Recipients must demonstrate their interest in and knowledge of service, world peace, and sustainable development. The recipient will have an idea of how they want to give back and make a difference in the lives of others. There will be a balance in what service they have done (Mission Trips, Service Projects, Volunteering) and what they hope to do in their career or vocation (Peace Corp, ROTC/National Guard, Environmental Science, Medicine, Engineering).
In a direct quote from his wife, Song Li, she paid tribute to her husband with the following quote,
“Major General Kelley spent his whole career serving others and his country and he continues to serve today by helping wounded warriors at a local Veterans Hospital.
