This scholarship was established to honor the life and legacy of Ms. Kerry Quinn. As a graduate of Alter High School Class of 1999, Kerry made it her life’s work to spread kindness. Her gentle spirit and wide smile won the hearts of everyone who crossed her path. Kerry taught us that one small act of kindness can become a repetitive act of virtue. She had the capacity to make family, friends, and strangers alike feel as if they were the most important, loved human beings in her universe. She shared herself with those around her in ways that offered hope, courage, and belonging. Kerry demonstrated her strength and faith by loving with an open heart and exposing her vulnerability. Whether through uplifting texts, handwritten cards, or simply taking the time to say, “I love you,” Kerry lived every day to make others feel valued and loved.

Alter Faculty/Staff will nominate candidates and submit supporting evidence.
