Two generations of the Grunkemeyer family have graduated from Alter High School all of whom recognize the value and benefits of their Catholic education. This appreciation for their Alter experience is the inspiration for establishing the Grunkemeyer Family Scholarship and modeling the idea of “paying forward” the gift of their Catholic education.
Award: 50% of annual tuition for one student
Eligibility:
- FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment
- Incoming freshmen or current Alter student
- Maintain a B+ average/ 3.5 GPA
- Demonstrated participation in extra-curricular activities
Essay: In 150 words, how do you practice your Christian faith outside of school and church? Additionally, provide a list of your extra-curricular activities
Reference: One required
Special: The selected family will also engage with Mark and Peggy Grunkemeyer annually on a mutually agreeable date.
