Larry Tucker Marching Knights Scholarship Grant Application The The Larry Tucker Marching Knights Scholarship Grant was established to provide a one year grant of up to $500 to any student at Alter High School involved in the Marching Knights. If you are selected to receive the scholarship, the scholarship grant will apply the scholarship directly to your summer/fall band fees. Scholarships must be used for the upcoming school year.

The completed application packet must be received no later than April 1st. Packets must be returned to Mr. Todd Tucker at Alter HS. Questions should be directed to Mr. Tucker at 428-5328 or todd.tucker@alterhs.org. Please include 3 copies of the typed single-spaced application using 1 inch margins and 12 point font. Grant winners will be notified in May.

1) IDENTIFY TWO SKILLS ACQUIRED THROUGH BAND OR COLOR GUARD AND HOW YOU APPLY THEM TO OTHER AREAS OF YOUR LIFE.

2) PLEASE DESCRIBE TWO STRENGTHS YOU POSSESS AND EXPLAIN HOW THEY HAVE A POSITIVE IMPACT ON BAND, COLOR GUARD AND YOUR LIFE.

3) WHAT MUSICAL EXPERIENCE HAS INFLUENCED YOU OR MADE A TREMENDOUS IMPACT ON YOUR LIFE AND WHY?

4) DESCRIBE YOUR EXPERIENCE IN MUSIC OR COLOR GUARD AND HOW YOU FEEL IT WILL IMPACT YOU IN THE FUTURE. 5) IF YOU HAD THREE WISHES, WHAT WOULD YOU WISH FOR AND WHY?

This is a one-year tuition grant and you may only receive this scholarship one time. It is the goal of the benefactors that parents and students will make a commitment to the Marching Knights beyond the term of the grant and that all those benefiting from the tuition grant will help sustain and grow this scholarship program for future generations.
