It definitely “Got Better” for the Alter Winter Guard at the MEPA Championships on April 3rd! With their show “It Gets Better”, the guard placed second during the prelims on Saturday and on Sunday they performed an inspiring, moving and flawless show to a packed crowd at the Trent Arena. After winning a gold medal last year in the Scholastic AA division, the guard this year was moved to a higher class, Scholastic A, and once again was able to capture the gold medal by winning with a score of 88.210 (winning by 7 hundredths of a point!) Congratulations to the amazing team of Melanie Grilliot (captain), Catherine Bryan, Maddie Hale, Sarah Portman, Kate Grilliot, Carli Mann, Morgan Schneider, Ashley Waker, Savannah Liechty, Sumika Stansbury, Maggey Mangold, and Directors Megan Sears and Amanda Miller!
